First Nations Canoe [5 feet tall]
I have lot’s of themes and ideas for different canoes and this is one I just had to make. I have always loved the Indian culture and I made this piece to honor those that were here before the Europeans found this continent. The amazing life and culture that these people had has always amazed me. How they lived, how they obtained food and shelter, and their respect for the Creator of all. I’ve found a few arrowheads on my farm here in the Ozarks and they always remind me of these amazing people. I placed a chief on one bow and an Indian woman on the other. I place several Indian signs all around the canoe. I also placed a depiction of a cave painting of a buffalo on the midsection. To top off the piece I placed two horses on the lower section. I feel this is an amazing piece that someone would like to place in their home or office or business?
